No Sleep Since Brooklyn

The wheels of the airplane carrying Sarah Pedinotti - sickened with the effects of a flu, and returning home from a tour of concert halls in the southern states - touched down on the storm-scarred earth of Jamaica Bay, where the cars slowly crept into gas stations only to face a four-hour wait for fuel.

“It’s crazy in New York City right now,” said Pedinotti, taking to the stage in Saratoga with the band RAILBIRD, several hours later, as the swirl of the mirror ball sprayed white flecks across the five-piece band in a delightfully demented revelry.
